The Boy Scouts of America organization will be celebrating their 100th birthday in 2010, and Pack 39 is proud to have been a part of that success in Brandon for many years! We are very grateful to have the Mintz Elementary School PTA as our charter organization. |
Whether you are a current scouting family or new to Cub Scouts and are interested in joining, our goal for this website is to keep everyone up to date with the latest activities and events for Pack 39, so be sure to check back often!

Bring-A-Friend Picnic: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Invite your Scouts' friends to come to this picnic with you where they can meet the pack. We will be serving food and signing up new scouts with the pack at this event. See you there!

Pack Camp-Out December 5th-6th - Register now!: From 8:00 AM December 5th to 10:00 AM December 6th, we will be having our first Pack Camp-Out of the school year! It will be at Lithia Springs Park (see the calendar for a Google map link - estimated travel time: 40 minutes from Brandon). We have so much fun stuff planned for this camp-out so don't miss it! All scouts, adults, and siblings must be registered to attend. If you have not signed up at the pack meeting, please use the form below to sign up right away.

Bike Rodeo November 14th - Register now!: On November 14th 9:00 AM to noon, we will be having our Bike Rodeo 2009! Of course, the whole family is invited for this event and there is no charge. It is being held at Branchton Park (see the calendar for a Google map link - estimated travel time: 33 minutes from Brandon). This is a fun event you won't want your kids to miss! We will be serving hamburgers and chips for everyone attending. All scouts and siblings must be registered to attend. Pack Hike This Saturday: This Saturday morning the 17th @ 9:00 AM we are going on a pack hike at Alderman's Ford County Park in Lithia. This is a great opportunity to see one of our awesome local historical parks. The whole family is invited! See the calendar page for a Google map link (estimated travel time: 30 minutes from Brandon). After the hike, those who bring sack lunches can stay and have a picnic. Hope to see you all there!

First Pack Meeting: Don't forget the first pack meeting is this Wednesday night, September 23rd 6:30-7:30 PM in the Mintz Elementary School cafeteria. See the calendar page for a map link if you don't know where it is. Everyone should attend.
If your boy has a uniform, have him wear it (even if you don't have all the patches sewn on yet). If you have not purchased a uniform for him yet, don't worry, just have him wear his Pack 39 T-shirt if he has one. We will be welcoming all the new boys into the pack that night as well as finalizing the dens your boys are joining. We will also help your den decide where and when you will meet weekly and who among you will be den leader and assistant den leader of your son's den.

Welcome to all the new members of Pack 39! We are happy you have joined our group and we are looking forward to a great new year with the pack!
Bring-A-Friend Picnic New Location: Due to the large number of people we anticipate will attend, the location for the picnic has changed! The time and date are the same. Please wear your Pack 39 T-shirts and prepare to meet the other boys in the pack.
Where: All Persons Rotary Park (Clayton Park) 800 S. Parsons Avenue Tampa, FL 33511 When: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12th.
Food: We will be serving hotdogs, chips, and water to everyone who attends.
New Members: If you have not registered yet, please be ready to fill out an application and pay council and pack fees for the year to join.
Membership Prices: We will be accepting check or cash at the picnic. If you are planning to pay with a check, please bring two checks (as we have to send in council registration separately from pack fees).

Hope everyone has had a good summer and school is off to a great start for your children! Our first event of the school year is the Bring-A-Friend Picnic on Saturday September 12th! The whole pack is invited to come - please wear your Pack 39 T-shirts. All the new scouts that have just joined will be there to meet the pack and their denmates and have a great time. Please bring a friend to join as we will be signing up anyone else who wants to join the pack and get in on the fun. The event will go from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Veteran's Memorial park (see the calendar for a map link).
Everyone is welcome to the 2009 Raingutter Regatta on Saturday July 25th! This is a fun, free Pack 39 event in the summer that is fun for the whole family! Arrive at 9:00 AM at Medard Park (see the calendar for location directions - it is the same park where the summer camp was held last month). Pack 39 Scouts and siblings will build boats by shaping, sanding, and painting the wood hull and decorating the sails.
You must register your Scouts and siblings so we buy enough boat kits and patches- please fill out the form below and submit it no later than July 22nd!
The children will have fun playing sports games while the boats' paint-jobs dry then they will race them on the raingutter race track! Those who bring a sack lunch can stay after the races for a picnic. Drinking water and boat kits and will be supplied by the pack for Scouts and siblings that are registered.

- Sports balls or gear (optional)
- Sack lunch & drinks for your family (optional)
- Building supplies (such as wood files, sandpaper, paints or paintbrushes (we will supply some spray paint) The boat hulls are made of soft balsa wood but the kids will want to shape them and paint them.
